- For inside-mount roller shades, a minimum 1.6" window frame depth is required. Blackout shades need to be 1/4" less than the window width, and 4 inches longer than the window length. No Tools No Drill shades need to be fixed against the sides for installation, and can only be installed internally against the window frame.
